Maggie — the kindest, most loving, and joyful soul I’ve ever had the privilege to know and welcome into my life.

She wanted to greet and make friends with everyone she met. Always gentle, always happy, always with a joyful spark in her beautiful brown eyes.

Always by my side, she loved going with me on rambles through the woods and meadows — sniffing every last leaf, stick and blade of grass. She loved to swim and splash in any water she could get to — whether we wanted her to or not. She loved her food — and mine and Luke’s too!

She was my devoted running partner, always making me giggle at her clunky, slightly sideways run — no matter what kind of mood I was in.

Always my comfort, quietly sitting beside me when I needed her — which was a lot!
Still is.

She loved her little family, and was always content to chill out quietly as long as one of us was nearby.

We were so lucky to have this precious soul in our lives for seven and a half years. It doesn’t feel fair that she had to leave us so soon… but life and fair rarely go together.

I will miss my sweet, goofy, loving, joyful girl every single day.
