The sky is an endless dream.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
I’m not quite the weather geek that my son is, but I do love a good weather event — a blizzard, a loud summer thunderstorm, booming with thunder and crackling with lightning, or even a steady, rhythmic rainfall I can sit with on my porch.
I also love clouds. I think they’re an underrated feature of the sky. They punctuate a bright blue backdrop like soft bits of cotton. They catch and scatter the sun’s rays, helping to create those breathtaking sunsets streaked with orange, pink, and red. Have you ever seen a sunset behind a thunderstorm? Pretty incredible!

There’s something awe-inspiring about watching a massive thunderhead churn as it drifts overhead.
Check out that counterclockwise rotation.
Clouds take on every shape — and no shape at all — constantly sculpted and reshaped by the wind.

Clouds. Clouds are cool!
Clouds suit my mood just fine.
