A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.
~ Bernard Meltzer

Throughout the course of our lives, people come and go. Some stay for a season, and some stay for longer. Some leave faint impressions; some leave deeper imprints. Some cause pain, and some give comfort and happiness.
Sometimes you reflect on the positive impact a friend has had on your life – not because of any kind of heroic or extraordinary acts, but just for being themselves…present in your life, exuding love and acceptance – and always making you laugh, even when you were in your darkest of dark moods.
And sometimes, you’re given the gift of learning the positive impact you have had on their life – simply for existing, and just…being who you are. It’s humbling. And gives you a huge sense of gratitude.
By the way….goodbyes suck.
Have you ever wondered why we decorate with evergreens wreaths at Christmas? There’s actually meaning to the round shape of them. Many different meanings actually! But these are a few that resonated…
Evergreens are used because they remain green throughout the harsh winters and are meant to symbolize enduring life and the promise of a coming season of growth and abundance (spring) and the natural cycles and seasons of our lives.
They also represent continuity, harmony, and unity within our friendships and family relationships. So even in saying goodbye to someone you love, the gifts and good memories that person gave you go with you – and continue on.
