What draws my attention to stone walls, roads, and paths is the suggestion of movement, journeys, and wandering adventures – the sense of wondering what’s around the next bend or down the road. My favorite photo in this series is the stone wall with the ocean beyond where a little boy walks in the distance. I love the weathered, jagged curve of the stone wall along the softness of the green field, the blue horizon line and the sweeping clouds. That little boy – my son – adds a lighthearted touch to the scene.
