Some of these photos use a black and white filter to highlight what I wanted to bring out. Others are actually in color but appear black and white because of the light and weather when I took them. My favorite is the Hudson River at slack tide. I remember standing there with a strange feeling that something was off, but I couldn’t quite figure out what it was. Then I realized the River was almost completely still. With the gray mist sinking into the water, it felt like stepping into a monochrome world.
