Paths have long been associated symbolically with the journey of life—personal growth, spiritual and religious meaning, working towards one’s goals…

But for me? I just like the way they look. I like straight paths for their symmetry and structure—the way the leading lines narrow to a vanishing point, as if it goes on forever—and how they contrast with the untamed wildness of nature creeping in from the edges.
I like curving paths because they are pleasing to the eye in a softer way. They invite curiosity and exploration-what’s around the next bend?

Not everything has to have a deeper meaning. 
Sometimes we like things just because we do.
