A day in my life as a nurse…

I leave my house just before dawn and come home long after sunset.

In between, there’s twelve, slightly chaotic hours of fluorescent lights, beeping machines, patients to care for and more calls of my name than I care to count.

But sometimes, I will witness something truly beautiful.

This morning started with a spectacular sunrise.

Tonight, I came home under a mesmerizing moonrise.  Like peaceful bookends to my day.
