Comfort me with apples…
– Solomon
When thinking of autumn, we may think of apples, pumpkins and brightly colored leaves fluttering down to the ground. What is more quintessentially fall than apples? Crispy, crunchy, juicy, sweetly scented apples…
The first thing I think of when summer is turning to fall is apple picking at a local orchard under a bright blue sky and in crisp autumn air…enjoying a sweet crunchy, apple picked right from the tree! Hot apple cider spiced with cinnamon, maple glazed apple pie blondies, and warm apple crisp with salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream – to me, these are the comforting flavors of fall.
What thoughts come to you when thinking of the fall season? I’d love to hear about your autumnal favorites!
